The RIB Investment Manager supports this mission by operationalising the EIT RIB Mechanism and its pilot editions in selected countries, ensuring that promising ventures identified at cross-KIC level can transition smoothly into EIT Health’s investment processes. You will coordinate the RIB Committee, monitor venture and pilot progress and help plug RIB sourced ventures into EIT Health’s business creation and investment activities.
Working closely with the cross-KIC Regional Innovation & Internationalisation Senior Director, the Head of Investments and Profit Growth, the Senior Investment Manager, Finance, Programme Delivery and local partners, you will track performance, risks and mitigation measures, maintain RIB specific tools (e.g. CRM, tracking files) and contribute to portfolio and management reporting.
This role is ideal for someone early in their investment career who enjoys combining coordination, analysis and stakeholder management in a European innovation context.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support oversight of RIB editions in pilot countries by monitoring progress, timelines, risks and mitigation measures, and by ensuring agreed processes are followed.
- Prepare concise bi-weekly updates to the Cluster and EIT on developments related to EIT RIB, highlighting key decisions, risks and next steps.
- Coordinate the work of the RIB Committee (agenda setting, materials, minutes, follow-up), ensuring effective implementation of the RIB Mechanism and the design of the RIB Lite Mechanism.
- Help establish and maintain processes and tools for tracking the growth of RIB ventures, including a dedicated RIB CRM and related dashboards.
- Assist in coordinating the 3-stage approach of the RIB Mechanism and in harmonising delivery standards across locations.
- Contribute to internal processes that support sourcing of companies through RIB mechanism into EIT Health’s Business Creation portfolios and investment activities.
- Assist in collecting and structuring data for basic financial and traction analyses of RIB Health ventures (e.g. revenues, runway, funding history, KPIs) to inform investment recommendations.
- Support portfolio monitoring of RIB ventures by updating performance dashboards, capturing key milestones, and flagging material risks or opportunities to EIT Health’s investment team.
- Monitor the progress of RIB ventures and help establish feedback loops, including pathways for ventures to reapply in future RIB calls.
- Provide structured inputs and data for interim reports and other business cycle reporting related to RIB and investment activities.
